As a new church plant, our size allows for a close, supportive family atmosphere where everyone feels connected, important and needed. We are all busy using the abilities God has given us…whether it’s showing hospitality, teaching a class, preaching, setting up for worship services, doing artwork, creating websites, doing secretarial work, or volunteering in the community. Everyone is needed and participates in God’s work!

Prayer is very important to all of us at Westside and through frequent prayer vigils we have absolute confidence that prayer changes lives!

Our Minister...

Our minister is Patrick Newbill.  He and his wife Sara have four grown children (and three granddaughters!) and have been married for over 30 years.  Patrick has always had a passion for church planting.  He and his late co-worker Bob Gorsline spearheaded plans for this work over the past several years.  Bob held a Master’s degree in Bible from Abilene Christian University.   He was a brilliant student of the Word and an excellent teacher and devoted elder.  The Lord took Bob home shortly after Westside celebrated it’s first Sunday morning service in April of 2005.  We have missed his leadership dearly, but his memory has inspired all of us to work harder to carry on the work he would have loved to have been a part of.
